The future belongs to whose who have a great history.

In 1910, Alfa Romeo was founding in the fashion capital of the world, Milan, Italy by an Italian aristocrat, Ugo Stella. Once, The Societa Italiana Automobili Darracq, Stell renamed his plant Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobile or Alfa. However, during WW1, Alfa lacked the funds needs to convert its automobile manufacturing. Nicola Romeo, a successful engineer, purchased Alfa and changed the badge to reflect his newest venture. Alfa-Romeo Milano. Despite his best efforts, automotive production ceased during the war and it wasn’t until February of 1918 when investors took the company public as ‘Alfa Rome”.

Born for speed, Alfa Romeo rooted itself in automotive racing from the very beginning, Ugo Sivocci, Alfa Romeo’s legendary race car driver, wanted to break a string of second-place finished to prepare for his next race, The Targa Florio, in Sicily, he painted a white square with a “Quadrifoglio” a four leaf clover on the front of his Alfa Romeo RL Targa Florio. As luck would have it, he finished in first place. The victorious results of this difficult, open road, endurance race marked the beginning of the Alfa Romeo’s racing ‘Alfa Rome”.

Shortly after his famous victory, Sivocci was testing a new race car at the Monza circuit, where he unfortunately did not survive a tragic crash. Because his car was not adorned with his lucky clover, Sivocci’s death bore a new tradition of future Alfa Romeo race cars would feature the four-leaf clover on white triange with the missing corner symbolizing the loss of Sivocci. Today, his clover remains a symbol of race worthy capabilities and of course good luck.

Alfa Romeo’s racing lineage has inspired today’s lineup of sports sedans and powerful SUVs with lightweight strength, supercar agility, and race-inspired performance. Add in Quadrifoglio styling, where pure power and adrenaline meet the open road and you’ll drift into your own everyday race car experience. The 4C sports coupe, the Giulia sports sedan and the Stelvio SUV only Italy could create, completely change the driving experience one exhalating turn at a time.
